To recreate a photo taken at the inauguration of the São Paulo subway in 1974, Pedro (Tony Ramos) reunites with two high-school-friends, who he had not seen for 40 years. On top of the existential crises, aging, different paths and deviations of each of their lives, Pedro surprisingly announces that he intends to kill himself. However, not before seeing his soccer team win the championship. “45 of the Second Half” is a dramatic comedy about choices, friendship and rediscovering the present by revisiting the past.
